OVERVIEW

is a humanitarian adventure, sports and culture. It involves competing teams clash on Bolivian soil in adventure racing around in a sporting event common to all teams, La BOLIVIAN is primarily a communion between man and nature Bolivia.
The annual edition takes place in November over a period of 12 days, including travel. (see program for years attached).

Article 1: ORGANIZATION

LA BOLIVIANA is organized by the association SPHERES which holds the exclusive rights of the race.
SPHERES supports the team, people and materials at the time of the holding of publishing, from the international airport of arrival in Bolivia (meeting point), logistics and Bolivia return to the international airport of departure. SPHERES determines the settlement and return to each team and grants prices.
It provides photographic and television coverage throughout the adventure and owns all the rights of the operation. Each team is nevertheless allowed to do his own story.
The official language of the event is French.Article 2: TEAMS


2.1 - The team
A team must be composed of 3 persons: 2 teammates who make sports events
1 team assistant in charge of logistics equipment and organizing the bivouac of his team.

The team assistant logistics can be transformed into a sporting competitor, the competitor sporting replaced taking the place of the logistics team subject to inform the jury of course the eve of the stage at the briefing.
Depending on the type of proposed phase, the organization himself to consider positively a replacement in the morning or during the stage of the race but also the participation of assistant to items specified in advance. (Balsa step Marathon, etc. ..).
Each team designates his team captain. He represents the team from the organization.

2.2 - The Crew
Each team must:
Being older than 18 years from the date of start of the race
Be in good standing in the eyes of the authorities of the host country
Having satisfied the medical and health rules required by the organization in the country (see information distributed by the Medical Commission of the organization)
Having taken note of this regulation before the race. It therefore accepts this regulation in its entirety and without reservation. To do so, he signed the document "Acceptance of the settlement" and gives the organization before departure
Be aware of the risks of participation in this event may cause it to run. It attests, by the mere fact of registration, its physical capabilities and limitations of its expertise. It identifies the organization in advance of any criminal or civil liability in the event of bodily injury or material at the BOLIVIAN
Having contracted a repatriation insurance and provide proof to the organization.

Each teammate is responsible for its equipment (See mandatory list provided by the organization), its energy needs and drink during the race. Presence of refueling all stages (water, Coke, dry fruit, ...).
The routes link during the test, are supported by the organization.
The transport logistics assistant is also supported by the organization and its rules are set at briefings before each stage.

Details of the sports edition is being shown in the program of the year published as an appendix in the road book.
Each team is committed to complete the medical records of the organization, to provide a certificate of non-indication against sports nature of the BOLIVIAN and the findings of a medical specialist mountain with achieving a adaptation test 20 days before October 31 this year (Test Hypoxia).

2.3 - The crew Logistics
The captain of each team is required to appoint to the organization's briefing yesterday, the assistant logistics team which ensures the logistics of the team on each stage. This logistical support is permitted only departure and arrival. Exceptionally organization that can help at crossing points and / or control and / or stores and / or medical.
If so this possibility is shown at the briefing on the eve of the stage. The logistics team is required to remain with the organization during transfers between the departure and arrival.
The team can in no way benefit from an assistance vehicle individually.

Article 3 : PARTICIPATION

3.1 - Conditions
Only teams who have met all the conditions for participation are accepted on the starting line.

It should have:
Responded to the conditions defining "team" in section 2.
Finalized its registration (fees, insurance, travel package).
Obtained validation controls technical, administrative and medical.
The organization reserves the right to refuse registration of a team and / or a teammate.
The team is responsible for paying all fees and all insurance and medical tests required.

3.2 - The Humanitarian
The organization of Boliviana will introduce various humanitarian missions that each team is required to distribute to turn in villages crossed by the race. The crew are free to distribute humanitarian missions knowing that the costs will be dependent on them.

Article 5 : THE JOURNEY

5.1-News
The road book and maps are given to team captain during the presentation of the course (briefing) on the eve or morning of each stage. The book provides the various road signs and information needed to progress. It shows the content of stages and their nature (or timed stages liaison collective) if the route is free or imposed, departure and arrival, the position of any checkpoints, points of supplies and medical items, and the contents of the backpack to carry minimum for each discipline.
Some sections of the trail may be closed to the progression of day or night.
The organization reserves the right to change the course or program for security reasons or otherwise, beyond its control.
The jury is sovereign to assign penalties or bonuses.

5.2 - lines departure and arrival
Their location is defined in the road book and maps:
TRIANGLE for departure.
ROUND for the arrival.
The presence of the 2 team is obligatory on the starting line and no other person outside these 2 team is unable to progress from one stage or a section of stage, unless special permission of the organization.
Outside starting line, the starting order may be given by the ascending or descending the overall standings.
The departure orders do not give rise to any bonus time or lengthening the duration of the stage in favor of any team.
The same is true for the passages at checkpoints subject to opening and closing.

5.3 - Checkpoints and Tags
Checkpoints are obliged crossing points (PC, departure and arrival) where the team must validate his signature PASS by the Commissioner post.
The loss of PASS or a mistake punching PASS results of a penalty (see table of penalties).
If stamp used to validate the passages, the team is allowed to draw the pictogram and / or the code on its past.
The tag is a crossing point where the past will be punched in the box.
The increase is guidance with maps and / or road book.
Post and / or control points (PC) are positioned on the circuit.
Flying checks can be carried out.


The organization will introduce "Fuse", checkpoints schedule passage on various locations of the course.
The absence of transition to a tag and a PC leads to a penalty (see Table penalties).
Checkpoints and tags are numbered and may be awarded in chronological order according to the road book.
Some PCs can be subject to a score of arrival and departure and / or subjected to opening and closing leading to neutralization.
In case of closure of the route for security reasons, teams are required to follow the instructions of the organization.
The organization may, for security reasons, forcing a team that lost to the abandonment of the stage or the race.

The 2 team members must pass each PC and grouped tags. If this is not the case the team is notified a penalty (see table of penalties).

5.4-Timing
The race timer to trigger the start of each stage and stops when the team crosses the finish line. The times were accumulated by step and give the general classification.

5.5 - Positioning System satellite
No satellite positioning system is authorized by the organizer.
Checks flying (random) are established. Not to use it equates to submit a team not to accept the "rulebook" and therefore decide to abandon the stage or the race.
All kinds of compasses, compass, binoculars, trip masters, pedometers are allowed.

Article 6: THE SPORTING EVENTS

Article 7 : EQUIPEMENT

7.1-list of equipment
Each team must carry his personal equipment. It is suitable for sports events planned during the editing of the current year (details of the sports edition price indicated in the program of the year published as an appendix).
Excluding cases of toilet and Undergarments usual, the following items are required.
It is asked each team to have a uniform dress and wear the same color during the raid for aesthetic reasons and security but also at the various ceremonies.
This list is for 1 team of 3 people.

7.1.1 - Bivouac:
1 tent 3 places
3 sleeping bags standards temperatures 0 ° to -10 ° C.
3 headlamps (include extra batteries for night race)

We recommend equipment for the crossing to protect the whole body, even the feet because of the intense sun.

Senior short and long sweating and / or combinations.

Strings: (this can be modified according to the current edition)
Each team must have all the equipment in a string bag containing the team number clearly visible on all sides.

The organization is responsible for major equipment logistics (cabo, vehicles, ropes, etc.).

7.2 - control equipment prior
Before the start of the race, general supervision of equipment is done and it is essential to have equipment adapted to the requirements of the organization.
This control is mandatory and determines the final acceptance of the team at the outset.
It is particularly strict, its purpose being to avoid any problems during the competitions.
Any equipment missing or not functioning may result in disqualification of the team.
At the start of the stage or section stage, the jury may refuse to let a competitor whose equipment is not regulation.
In case of doubt concerning the validity of equipment during the check before departure, the jury has the final decision to accept or not the equipment concerned.

7.3 - Monitoring equipment during the stages
Spot checks of equipment can be made throughout the race. Their aim is to verify that the team has of course it material necessary for its progress and its security on the current section. The lack of equipment required is penalized.
For security reasons, the jury may decide to disqualify the team at fault.

Article 8 : SAFETY

Safety is a priority for the organization.
8.1-General Safety Rules
The increase must be in a team.
The general rule is to move bulk (a view and covered voice without shouting in Mountainbike (maximum 100m), 25 meters between teammates in walking. Failure to observe this rule results in a penalty.
The presence of 2 members of the team is required to pass tags, checkpoints and crossing points required.
Any breach of assistance to persons in danger, is penalized by the race of the team.
Any behavior deemed dangerous to the crew or endangering people outside will be punished by a penalty ranging, depending on the severity, as far as exclusion from the team.

The team must always be composed of 2 riders under pain of exclusion classification. (see Article 10, item classification).
If a relief, the team must wait for the physical presence of a member of the organization before exiting.
The organization and the medical team may prohibit a team to continue its progress if they feel it is committed in an area at risk and / or could not continue the race under normal conditions of security . The medical team has discretion to prohibit the departure of a team or halt the current stage for health reasons.

8.2 - Organization and Security
The organization makes every effort to ensure security. Competitors are advised that the rescue can be difficult and take time.
Given weather conditions, or if it considers that security conditions are not met, the clerk of the course is authorized to take any decision to stop the race.
It may therefore decide to stop one or more teams.
In this case each team is penalized halted for lack of participation in a section of the stage.

8.3 - Safety equipment
All equipment mandatory defined by the Regulation and its annexes, is regarded as safety equipment.
The details of the road book on the use of technical equipment or security settlement value (eg wearing the vest, helmet ...).
Any infringement on the equipment mandatory or its use will be considered a breach of security and lead to penalties.

Article 9 : SPORTS RULES

9.1 - Jury
The jury is sovereign. It consists of two main and several Deputy Commissioners. It is responsible for implementing the regulation.
It enforces the rules and processes claims.
It can take an offense that has established and consistently take any decision with regard to misconduct.
Its members and staff of organization are sworn by the organization and their testimony is authentic.
The jury decides penalties and cases not specified in the regulations.
Complaints are submitted to the jury 30 minutes after the announcement of results. They are judged by the jury can hear, if he deems it necessary, any person concerned. It takes its decision and then performs the official publication of results. These results are final.

9.2 - Penalties
The penalties are possible, in a non-exhaustive set forth herein. This list is not exhaustive and the jury is completely free to enjoy the punishment fits the crime. The time penalty awarded range from 5 minutes for a minor offense, with the retirement rank or race of the team for a felony.

• No record of observing the race = 120 mn
• Lack of cover chef / bib / plate frame = 30 minutes per team
• Failure mark (see item 11.1) = 15 minutes
• Refusal crossing rope = 30 minutes
• Loss of PASS or road book = time of the last team +15%
• Punching inaccurate Pass = Cancellation of tag
• Delay on the starting line up to 30 minutes = 60 minutes
• Failure to sign a teammate at a checkpoint = 60 minutes per checkpoint
• Lack of participation of the team to a section of the stage = time of the last team + 15%
• Failure to transition to a post tag "= Penalty indicated on the book and on the road PASS
• State non-compliant hardware security = 60 min
• Attitudes antisportives (eg cheating manifest systematic challenges, bad spirit or inappropriate gesture) = 15 minutes of the race by the jury.

9.3 - Decommissioning classification
A team may be "disqualified" in situations not fully cited here:
• Delay of more than 30 minutes at the start,
• No helmet, lifejacket,
• non-compliant or lack of safety equipment,
• Breach of safety rules,
• No comprehensive medical observation,
• Using GPS
• External assistance,
• Attitude Unsportsmanlike,
• Non-assistance to persons in danger.
In view of the situations encountered, the jury is sovereign in deciding the race for the team.

9.4 - Abandon
In cases of abandonment, any competitor is required urgently to prevent the organization by all means and as soon as possible.
In cases of abandonment during a stage of a teammate in a section of stage due to force majeure (Weather, accidents, etc.. ...) Time penalty is the last time the team + 3:00.

9.5-Assistance

9.5 - 1 Medical
The organization sets up medical assistance before, during and after the race. Any external assistance to facilities installed in the framework of the organization is prohibited.
Taking oxygen during the race can not be done without medical advice. It was given by the medical service and only for therapeutic purposes, not comfort, this takes oxygen lead to the detention of the team for at least 15 minutes late taking the Oxygen until further medical advice for the period deemed necessary for a resumption of the race safely.

9.5 - 2 Exterior
Any external assistance to facilities installed in the framework of the organization is prohibited.
No communication from outside to competitors is allowed and their uses leads off the ranking.
The use of local people as a guide is prohibited (race) but the team has the right to request information to local reports.

9.6 - General Rules of Conduct
The BOLIVIANA is a race that takes place in a natural environment and lived. The rules and laws of the host country must be respected. The resulting contacts involving cohabitation between local populations, the organizing team, media representatives and teams of competitors.
When the fingerprint test routes open to traffic, the settlement of the race goes before the obligations of traffic.
The rule of mutual respect is one of the fundamental values of "BOLIVIANA".

9.6.1 - Pollution
Any pollution by waste or other, and any deterioration of the natural environment, will be punished by a penalty of up to the exclusion of the race.

9.6.2 - Behavior
Any disrespectful behavior of a participant is punishable by a penalty of up to the exclusion of the race.

9.6.3 - Relations with the country and its people
The consumption of products from the culture (vegetables, fruits ...) or farmed (animals) is prohibited without the consent of the owner. The use of local means of transportation other than those authorized by the regulation is prohibited.

Article 10 :RANKING

The stage classification is made in real time to finish each stage.
When the stage is arrested and / or team stopped (see point 8.2), the actual time of arrival of the team is its arrival at the breakpoint of the stage.
The classification is then modified by any time penalties (see table of penalties).
The general classification is made daily by adding the timing of different stages.
The final ranking is based on the accumulated time the classification of five stages.
Case of mixed teams: Only teams who have taken the start or finish the stage, joint training, will be divided into mixed training. This rule is mandatory for all stages.
If teams tie the jury will take into account the team with the fewest penalty.

Article 11 : MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION

11.1 - Marking

11.1.1 - Conditions of marking

The following media are reserved exclusively to the organization in order to affix the logo "THE BOLIVIAN" and / or logos of the partners of the event:
• bibs or chasuble.
• Plates montain bike frame.
• Helmet.
• Canoe.
• Vehicles and outdoor spaces.

The markings, other than the Boliviana, are allowed on all other media not named. The constraints marking support must be respected throughout the race and by all team members.
Any violation of this regulation leads to a penalty. This penalty can also post on viewing video clips or photos.
THE BOLIVIAN markings are provided by the organization. It determines the scope to the partners of the organization and its partner teams. The markings sponsors teams are borne by the teams. These elements must have obtained at the validation checks of equipment.

11.1.2-marking Support
The bib and / or chasuble is provided by the organization and its marking is regulated.
Competitors must wear the jersey for all activities.
It is attached to an elastic band and is positioned at the front for running and back to the montain bike.
The bib and / or chasuble should always be worn over other clothing (eg T-shirt, shirt, parka, etc.) and above the lifejacket and / or backpack.

The logistics team must wear the jersey and / or chasuble:
on the starting line until the departure of the team,
on the assistance defined by the organization,
at the finish line until the arrival of his team
Mountain bike helmet is marked with the logo of THE BOLIVIAN (supplied by the organization).
No marking is regulated for the shorts, shorts, pants and shoes.
Teams must take the required official racing off period for the official program of events pre and post race. The organization reserves the right to prohibit access to official events teams or teammates not of decent clothing.

11.2 - Image rights
Each participant authorizes the organization and his heirs (partners and media) to use the images or audio on which it appears at the Boliviana, whatever the media (promotional and / or advertising) the Territory (worldwide) and the legal limits (French law) the longest.
In accordance with French law and Freedom of 6 January 1978, each competitor has a right to access and correct data concerning registered by the organization under the Bolivian. Except disagreement on his part expressed in writing to the organization, it allows it to transfer the information on to third partners in the operation.

Article 12: LIABILITY / INSURANCE

SPHERES acts or acts as an intermediary between on the one hand, teams and / or competitors and secondly, transporters, hoteliers and in general all service providers who are responsible for their own activities. It therefore follows that SPHERES Under no circumstances or under any condition, be held responsible for any accident or injury, irregularity, delay, strike, war, political problem, fire, weather, failure, loss or theft of personal effects and baggage.
Similarly, programs and course can be changed without notice, and teams and / or competitors can not claim any refund.
The association SPHERES underwrites insurance covering liability Organizer risks to the organization of the race because of damage to third parties as part of the race.
This insurance covers any case the repatriation of sick or injured competitors. It is also not a personal accident insurance to participants.

Each competitor and assistant are required to have insurance covering liability in the context of the race but also in cases of repatriation, death, accident, illness, loss or theft of luggage. The organizer will not be in any capacity whatsoever for failure to cover competition resulting from failure by the competitor of this clause.
All persons accredited Boliviana embark on the full knowledge of the risks that the conduct of the test may lead them to run. They are committed under their full responsibility and release the organization in advance of any criminal liability and / or in the event of injury or material that could occur during the Boliviana.
The responsibility of the organization shall in no case be sought in case of theft, loss or damage to any object, material or otherwise.
Any damage, loss or theft materials available to participants by the organization will be perceived cost of repairing or replacing the equipment involved.

Article 13: RATES OF REGISTRATION

The price of participation is noted on and promotional materials on the website of the organization and may be different depending editions. Unless special mention, our prices are per team of 3 people.
Applications will be considered registered until the entire settlement.

13.1 - The organization supports:

Transfers on the spot (during the raid Sports)
4 nights hotel in a double room and / or triple

13.2 - The organization does not support:

Air transport
Individual fee airport
Individual liability insurance, flight cancellations and repatriation (required)

Fees humanitarian missions.

 Article 14: SPECIAL CONDITIONS - cancellation and alteration of a team

14.1 - Communication:
If you want to change or remove the travel booked, you know personally and by letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the association SPHERES. In this case, travel documents already received must be returned simultaneously. To determine the date of cancellation or change, the day of receipt of your statement is authentic.

14.2 - Conditions for refund and cancellation by a team

14.2.1 - Conditions for refund and cancellation fees organization
In case of cancellation of a participating team, the following conditions apply:
Before September 15 this year: 80% refund the price of registration.
Before September 30 this year: Repayment of 50% of registration.
September 30 to October 15 this year: Repayment of 20% of the price of entry.
Beyond October 15 this year: No refunds will be made.
Any cancellation will be charged a minimum lump sum of € 200.00 per team.
These fees are not covered by any insurance cancellation fees.

14.2.2 - Individuals within a team.
In the case of a team formed by the organization, the general conditions of cancellation apply equally individually as described in Article 14.2.1.

14.3 - Cancellation of the organization:
It must be at least 4 weeks before departure.
Remain reserved force majeure, unrest, strikes and other circumstances forcing us to abandon the realization of the raid and we reserve the right to suspend or modify the itinerary of a trip already underway.
In case of cancellation by us, all payments will be postponed to the next edition.
Requests for damages are excluded.

14.4 - passport, currency, visas and vaccines
You are solely responsible to be in possession of documents necessary for your trip with regard to passport, visa, currency and animal health formalities and the potential to make vaccines.
As such, we remind you that the passport must be biometric and be valid at least 6 months from the date of leaving the country.
The organizer has no responsibility if a passenger fails to comply with its obligations. If it misses its flight (invalid passport, etc..), He loses all his rights of transport and has no right to compensation or reimbursement. You are required to re-confirm your return flight 72 hours before departure to the contact given to you with your travel documents, or airport of departure.

Article 15: FRENCH LAW APPLY for the legal relationship between you and the association SPHERES.
